This website was designed for the collector of the Model 1911A1 .45 Cal Service Pistol which has long been a very popular and sought after collector's firearm. This site provides examples of and information on different variations that one will find from 1924-1945 when the M1911A1 was manufactured by Colt's PT.F.A.MFG.CO, Singer Manufacturing Co., Ithaca Gun Co., Remington Rand, Inc., and Union Switch & Signal Co. Different variations will be found between and within each manufacturer’s production which makes the collecting of these firearms very interesting.

I have now decided to sell my firearms collection, including most of the pistols on this site. I have been collecting firearms, specifically the Colt M1911/M1911A1 and it's Commercial variations since 1968. After being in the retail firearms business for over 18 years, I have also gathered a mixture of other desirable pistols, rifles and shotguns. Some are rare, some are Classics and some are just firearms that I “wanted” at the moment.
Each of the firearms, especially the Colt automatics, were VERY carefully selected for uniqueness, originality and for the quality of their condition. Rest assured there are NO cobbled up parts guns or forgeries, as too often seen on the market today. Also, NO “DB” M1911 / M1911A1’s are here either.
I have always purchased and NEVER sold anything from my personal collection in the past, so this is a unique opportunity to purchase firearms. Some of these firearms have been off the market for almost 40 years.
Please understand that this sale is a decision based on DESIRE and NOT CIRCUMSTANCE so there will be no “fire sale” or quantity pricing.
I also regret that I no longer have the time, due to travel every month, to answer your Collector questions. For this I apologize in advance.
My rules for this sale are as follows:
- ONLY the firearms listed on the “For Sale” page are available at any given time. They will remain listed until “SOLD” and then deleted from the page when the sale is finalized.
- PLEASE DO NOT send e-mails asking when other pistols on the site will be sold or ask “do you have a ...”. Those e-mails will be deleted unanswered. If an individual persists his e-mail address will be blocked.
- All listed prices are FIRM. Please do not send e-mails with offers lower than the listed price. Those e-mails will also be deleted unanswered.
- I will make every effort, in advance, to COMPLETELY describe any firearm sold here. If you must ask additional questions, please realize that e-mails with questions will be answered only as time allows. So, you might miss purchasing the firearm you want while you wait for an answer.
-Pre-1946 firearms will be sold through a C & R or a Class 01 FFL. ALL post-WWII firearms will be sold through Class 01 FFL Licensee’s ONLY. NO EXCEPTIONS. In Illinois, there will be NO direct customer sales and FFL Licensees MUST have a valid Illinois Department of Revenue Resale Certificate, in the same name that’s shown on the FFL License. This stipulation is regardless of firearm “Collector” status.
- Payment will ONLY be accepted via Postal Money Order, Cashiers or Official Bank Check. Sorry, NO credit cards and NO Paypal.
- Upon receiving a firm “I’ll take it”, all firearms will be held for 5 working days awaiting payment. As long as the firearm is paid for, I’ll hold the gun for the arrival of your FFL as long as it’s necessary.
- All firearms will be shipped 2nd day air and will be “pre-paid” by the Buyer. This is in addition to the sale price. Next Day Air is always an option, for an additional charge.
